Hello! My name is Shane McDonough. I teach 7th grade math and science and run a recycling club at my school. When I started working with the club, I noticed that my middle school students had limited knowledge about recycling and sustainability.

I decided to create an educational resource (Lucy Recycles) that would allow children to begin engaging with topics like recycling, climate change, sustainability, natural resources, and reducing waste at an early age. My hope is that this book can be used to supplement learning about these topics in your classroom/home. It is free and yours to share widely!
